"Young Frankenstein," Final Tech/Dress Rehearsals, Part 1 of 2, Priscilla Beach Theatre (PBT), Priscilla Beach, Manomet, Plymouth, Massachusetts, USA

Priscilla Beach Theatre (PBT) Owners and Guardians, Bob and Sandy Malone, recently opened their production of  Mel Brook's Musical, "Young Frankenstein," for an eight performance run on the Barn Stage. This is the final production for the 2019 Adult Cast Series season.

"From the creators of The Producers! You are going to love Young Frankenstein! This is the adaptation of Mel Brook's hilarious film by the same name." (Source: PBT)

The Barn Stage, a 240-seat venue, is in its 82nd season and is cited as the oldest summer stock barn theatre still operating in America. The original barn was built in 1875. The current owners, Bob and Sandy Malone, completed a modernization and renovation effort in 2014-15.

The following images were captured live during the third of four dress/tech rehearsals and are in order of occurrence in the show. Color balance is not corrected but is based on the lighting design of the scene. I include way too many images because I know the cast and crew like to share them with family and frends who can't be here to attend.

This is Part 1 of 2 parts. Part 2 will cover the final rehearsal.

Live music accompaniment provided by the Barn Doors Orchestra: Christopher Ricci, Eli Bigelow, Michael Dobiel, Isaac Lit, Christopher Mish.

The following images were actually made the night before.  I was testing some new/different metering and exposure techniques and angles with no intent to publish but, I liked some of the results and the performers might also so, here they are.

We are so fortunate to have such an extraordinary performing arts venue right here in our local community.  Your support and attendance is important to keep this resource thriving.

This interior view was from a different show but, I include it to illustrate what the inside of the barn looks like.
