This might be my final fall visit this year to Boston's Public Garden while there is still some color on the trees.

It was a beautiful November weekend.



A light chill was in the air but still very comfortable to be out and about.



A common sight on a nice day - a painter beside the lagoon capturing a scene.



A yoga practitioner enjoying a quiet spot.

And other random humans walking or sitting.

Or sunning on a warm bench.



A splash of golden leaves.

The area at right is where the famous swan boats dock during the warmer weather.  They have been hauled out for winter - soon, this body of water will be frozen over. The iconic footbridge that crosses the lagoon was built in 1867.

Nice place, Boston.

Tulip Time, Public Garden, Boston, Massachusetts, USA

The blooming magnolias and cherry trees have slowly given way to the tulips. Thousands of bulbs are sprouting in the Public Garden on this beautiful weekend visit (April 24th).



The blooms are popular for portraits.



And you can pick your preferred color.

The parks folks plant 25,000 or so bulbs every November to get ready to delight us in spring - and they've done so every year since the 1840's.

Turns out that the two cherry trees blossoming at right are the most popular trees in the Public Garden on this visit.

Nothing else was in such beautiful bloom so this was a popular photo spot.

People are still pretty good about wearing masks.

A tutu is always in style - no matter your age.

The Public Garden and Boston Common are wonderful open spaces to enjoy - regardless the season.

There were great numbers of folks out and about even though it was in the mid-30's and the wind was howling. When the sun is shining, people are out and about.

Having a snack on a sunny park bench is always a winner.



In warmer weather folks are fond of relaxing at waterside......



Roughly the same spot, exactly three months ago.



I noticed many more young folks out and about compared to us more seasoned humans.



This was the day before the big game (the Super Bowl). He may be gone but, not forgotten.

........the fall version of the same area.



No matter the season, the sweatshirt and t-shirt vendor is always out.



Walking back at the end of the outing, I enjoy the reminder of the interesting history of this city. Paul Revere was a dentist in addition to being a silversmith - not that dental science was very advanced back then but, a man had to make a living.



History both recent and distant past - wandering around Boston is always a delight to me.

The Boston Public Garden is a spectacular urban oasis in which to spend a fall afternoon with a picnic lunch.....

......or walking your dog in the crunchy leaves......

........or watching the willows weep beside the pond......

....or strolling the walkways, (Red Sox attire de rigueur).......

...or getting married nearby and creating the wedding photos here. I always enjoy a stroll through the Boston Public Garden and adjacent Boston Common on a fall day - or spring, or summer, or winter days, too.
