A Wander Along Congress Street, Boston, Massachusetts, USA

I really like the wild architecture of this building along Congress Street (at the corner of Franklin) in the downtown Boston financial district. This is a mid-morning weekend view.

Ditto.

Moving along Congress Street closer to the Old State House.

Ditto.

The Old State House, reputed to be the oldest surviving public building in Boston, was built in 1713. On July 18, 1776, the Declaration of Independence was first read to the citizens of Boston from the balcony.

Faneuil Hall, shrouded in scaffolding and blue netting, is the backdrop for the Samuel Adams statue. Long before his name was a popular beer, Samuel Adams was an American statesman, political philosopher, and one of the Founding Fathers of the United States.

And in late afternoon light, another view of my same favorite building. Boston is a delightful mix of both historic and modern architecture.
