I begin by thanking Joan Perry, a Charleston blogger who mentioned this art and its whereabouts in her recent post. Hidden on the back of a past its prime cinder block strip mall is this spectacular artwork by a graffiti artist. One of the panels was signed by Dynasty Muralworks whose principal is Douglas Panzone. I presume he is the creator of them all. Here are a few partial close-ups of the wall sized creations.
This big-picture photo was by Amy and provides some perspective on the scale of the artistic effort.
Graffiti can be a volatile subject but, as far as I'm concerned, this example is as compelling an art form as any other. The talent of this artist is palpable.
