On Safari, Manomet, Plymouth, Massachusetts, USA
I went to the kitchen to fix lunch and, lo and behold, Amy was setting up a broccoli forest on the counter. Since a real photographic safari in Africa is pretty expensive - I instead went on a safari of the mind right here in Manomet.
It takes place in the broccoli forest on this vegan savanna. These two creatures were enjoying eating the lush treetops as giraffes are inclined to do.
The ground surface of the savanna is a cutting board, the sky is an aqua-hued dishcloth strung between two bottles of olive oil, and the trees are broccoli stalks cut and ready to be steamed for dinner. The giraffes have been living with us for 25 years or so.
See how much fun retirement can be! Playing like a child again. Now, where did I put my blankie? - it feels like time for a nap...........
