The Barn Doors Orchestra, Priscilla Beach Theatre (PBT), Priscilla Beach, Manomet, Plymouth, Massachusetts, USA

Depending on where your audience seat is located in the barn, you may or may not be able to see the musicians who comprise the Barn Doors Orchestra tucked downstage left but, you certainly get to hear and enjoy their wonderful musical skills. Here they are shown rehearsing under the baton and keyboard (lower right above) of PBT's Musical Director Christopher Ricci - this ensemble provides the live musical accompaniment to the current production of "Guys and Dolls." My previously published blogs about this production can be accessed at this link. (Click on an image for a higher resolution version if your device supports that action).

The composition of the Barn Doors Orchestra varies with each production depending upon the requirements of the individual musical score. Mr. Ricci assembles the varying complement of musicians and blends them into one of the hallmarks of PBT Owners and Guardians Bob and Sandy Malone - live music with each major show on the Barn Stage. A few previous iterations of Mr. Ricci's Barn Doors Orchestra can be enjoyed in my blogs at this link.

"The Last Five Years" in May,
"The Drowsy Chaperone" in June,
"Guys and Dolls" in July,
