Starting August 2nd and running through August 18th, Priscilla Beach Theatre (PBT) Owners and Guardians Bob and Sandy Malone will produce and present the stage classic, "Bye, Bye, Birdie."
"It's 1960 and a rock and roll star travels to small town Ohio to say good bye to his fans. Teen heartthrob Conrad Birdie has been drafted, so he chooses All-American girl Kim MacAfee for a very public farewell kiss. Hits include "Put on a Happy Face", "One Last Kiss", "One Boy", "A Lot of Livin' to Do", "Kids!" and "Rosie"." (Source: PBT)
As "Guys and Dolls" ends its very popular and successful run at Priscilla Beach Theatre (PBT), the cast and crew of the next production, "Bye, Bye, Birdie," are already hard at work preparing for the August 2nd-18th run on the PBT Barn Stage.
A special acknowledgement to these downtown Plymouth locations: Ziggy's Ice Cream Shop for the use of their bench, Hedge House Museum for use of their front lawn and porch, and Town Hall for use of the front steps to create these pictures of some of the cast of "Bye, Bye, Birdie." The Barn Stage, a 240-seat venue, is in its 81st season and is cited as the oldest summer stock barn theatre still operating in America. The original barn was built in 1875 and much of that structure remains in place today.
