When exiting the city through Porta Elisa, I always pass along this colonnade. A rather dramatic and fancy spot for a bicycle rack. The lines and angles and arcs and other photographic elements pose classically all by themselves.

And sometimes the random blurred movement of a pedestrian adds another element of photographic delight.

Just beside the Porta Elisa, this magnolia in full bloom signals the coming spring.

Magnolia blossoms in early March are a delight to a displaced New Englander!
