Almost every cloud can have a silver lining - but sometimes I have to position myself to see it instead of waiting for it to come to me. (Note: there might be some wisdom hidden in that last sentence.)
The winds were howling during this photo and the gull was able to be airborne with barely a wing beat.
Imagine having wings and the ability to shape them perfectly to generate lift. As Leonardo da Vinci was reputed to say, "when once you have tasted flight, you will forever walk the earth with your eyes turned skyward, for there you have been, and there you will always long to return."
