Please excuse me for taking painful poetic license but, I recently watched the award winning movie, "Three Billboards Outside Ebbing, Missouri," and it was on my mind during this walk.
These three jetties outside Manomet are along a stretch of Manomet Beach; the distant point of land extending into Cape Cod Bay is Stage Point.
As the spring days warm and lengthen, the water temperature is now up to 41 degrees F. Woo hoo! (According to an observation buoy in the center of the bay: Station 44090).
And yes, soon there will be people in the water - not me - but the "real" New Englanders will be.
