Stewart Park, Ithaca, New York, USA
After my recent walks up and down in gorges, a visit to the very flat Stewart Park at the southern end of Cayuga Lake in Ithaca was a welcome change. The lake stretches north for almost 40 miles.
Ithaca has a dedicated outdoor Farmer's Market shown above. Soon, it will open periodically for the season. Nice setup - dedicated stalls under the roof but still an open, airy, outdoor feeling.
A few days later, the willow is showing signs of more spring growth. And note in the distance at right, there were about twenty small sailboats out on the lake in the cold, gray, drizzle and wind. Hearty folk these Ithacans.
