Priscilla Beach Theatre's (PBT) 2017 Resident Company recently presented their second Broadway Musical Review this summer featuring tunes from such classic favorites as "The Producers," "Hairspray," "Waitress," "Annie," "The Lion King," and "Grease," to name a few. These talented young men and women actors, actresses, singers, dancers, musicians, and performers lit up the stage and the evening with their talents and creativity.
The event was hosted and produced by Michael Caizzi, currently in one of the lead roles in the ongoing sold-out run of "The Producers" on PBT's Barn Stage.
The wonderful music was made possible through the stellar talent of accompanist Nathan Urdangen.
The following images are in order of occurrence through the evening. (Click on an image for a slightly higher resolution version if your device supports that action.)
The talent and joy these young people share in song, dance, and performance is always a special treat to local patrons of PBT. (And of course the artists love the opportunity to showcase their skills).
Note to photographically inclined readers: There was no dress rehearsal for this event and I couldn't get close to the stage during the public performance. These images were captured from the balcony with a Canon 6D full frame body and a Canon 70-300mm lens (Thanks, Amy). Good news and bad - the heads fill the frame but the images tend to be soft and flat. I always prefer to be up close to the stage and use a much shorter, faster focal length lens. Regardless of where I stand, just getting to see them and hear them live while I captured moments is always wonderful!
