Small cottages like this one dot the New England pondscape/lakescape where there are gazillions of freshwater inland ponds/lakes. This day I decided to conduct a brief experiment in panorama techniques. Is it better to use the built-in camera function or the post-processing method of stitching together multiple images? This first image above is using the panorama function built into the camera.

This image is using post-processing software to stitch two regular landscape format images together. It does an amazing job at hiding the seam!

This image is using post-processing software to stitch three regular portrait format images together. Frankly, for all the extra effort, I don't see that much improvement over using the built-in function - asked and answered.

The arrival of the swan family distracted me from my task.......

......as did the duck......

.....and the flower....... what was I doing anyway?..............did somebody say "squirrel?"
