Sure Footed, Manomet, Plymouth, Massachusetts, USA

Of all the places to land, our local great blue heron chose this mess of overlapping, underlapping, and intermingled dead branches at the edge of the pond. Seems an odd choice to my human brain - not so odd to a heron I guess.
