On a warm summer evening, I took a random stroll along the harbor/waterfront/malecon/esplanade in downtown Plymouth. Here are a few of the sights that caught my eye:
Cupcakes at Cupcake Charlies were flying off the shelves as customers lined up for their sweet treats.
Not sure what the "Full Monty" means as a name for this catamaran but, I do remember what it meant in the movie of the same name a few years ago. The Rocky Hill area of the Pinehills is visible in the background.
Free live music - bring your own chair.
And there were more cupcakes - a nice fate for Reese's peanut butter cups.
Boat railings - nice lines.
Plymouth has a strong nautical history - even on top of buildings.
Did I mention there were cupcakes? Too bad these weren't vegan so I could have eaten one or all but, the owner said he only makes vegan cupcakes for advance special orders. Minimum vegan special order is a dozen - hmmmmm? Every time a restaurant or shop even knows what vegan means makes me glad.
This great blue heron stood waiting patiently for his dinner in the setting sun and rising tide.
Personally, I've never been one for spooky scary stuff (except Sigourney Weaver in Alien) but, the Dead of Night ghost tours seem pretty popular in Plymouth.
