"Henry Acker Gypsy Jazz Trio," Spire Center for Performing Arts, Plymouth, Massachusetts, USA
We've been having some very nice summer days recently, the past rains and cloudy skies have given way to sunshine, warm winds, and verdant green. It was another great evening to head downtown to.....
...the Spire Center for Performing Arts and take in the show. It's the "Henry Acker Gypsy Jazz Trio," another extraordinary booking for the Spire!
"Henry Acker is a fifteen year old gypsy jazz guitarist in the style of Django Reinhardt and with abilities far beyond his years. After playing for only six years, he has already shared the stage with jazz greats and gypsy jazz legends. He is the winner of the 2017 Djangofest North West Saga Award and a three time winner of the Downbeat Magazine Student Award for jazz guitar soloist. Based In Boston, MA, he also dazzles audiences at Jazz Festivals across the United States along with his father, jazz guitarist Victor Acker and his Uncle Dana Acker on the double bass - both Berklee College of Music alum. Henry's career is in full swing and red hot. He really must be seen to be believed." (Source: his web site at this link).
Another young phenom to provide extraordinary talent to the burgeoning performing arts scene in Plymouth! Support the live performing arts in our community or, wherever you may live in the world.
Without your support and attendance to keep these venues open, the only entertainment in the future will be on electronic devices - not a future I enjoy contemplating.
