The next refrain in nature's spring chorus is provided by the rhododendron bushes whose buds are unfolding now.

So delicate and gentle, be-speckled with tiny white spots of pollen as the petals unfold.

Purple......

....and pink are the most common and the bushes are everywhere throughout the neighborhood, exploding with colorful blossoms.

This spring show is the reward we experience for enduring the New England winter. It's a fair trade.
