A bigger surf than normal kept all but the heartiest of swimmers out of the water on this summer day at the beach. White Horse Beach is in the foreground, Priscilla Beach in the distance. This time of year the surface water temperature runs about 72 degrees F/ 22 degrees C - warm by New England standards. (Click on image for higher resolution version).
