I generally prefer a sunny day rather than a damp cloudy one but, neither is without its own special benefits. On this particular day, the morning dew/mist/fog made the hundreds of spider webs visible throughout the garden.
I would guess that spiders catch fewer meals since the web is more visible and prey can avoid it.
