This property on White Horse Road in Manomet formerly held a church and a large asphalt parking lot. The church was closed and the property changed hands last year. It is located only a few hundred yards to White Horse Beach. When it was sold we expected to see a bunch of houses or condos shoe-horned onto the land. What a pleasant surprise, however, to see that a beautiful park is being built instead. Rumor has it that some private benefactor purchased the land and made the decision to build a park.

The trees have been planted, the sprinkler lines installed, the asphalt path poured and rolled.
And although the park is not "open" yet, some neighborhood kids can't resist the opportunity to enjoy it anyway.
I saw that and wondered what it was. It looked like a Nursery was moving in. It's really nice to see this. Thanks to the new owner.
