Priscilla Beach Theatre (PBT) will soon welcome two shows by The Barn Doors Orchestra performing a "Tribute to the Big Bands."
PBT's own 12-piece Barn Doors Orchestra, led by musical director Christopher Ricci, will pay homage to the big band sounds of Glenn Miller, Benny Goodman, Count Basie, Artie Shaw, and Duke Ellington.
This retrospective will include a special tribute to the Andrews Sisters, featuring PBT performers Maggie Irvine, Erica Morris and Emily Borges, singing such favorites as "In The Mood," "Boogie Woogie Bugle Boy," "Chattanooga Choo Choo," and "Sentimental Journey."
The show will also include video and audio featuring the people, places, headlines, and memories of that historic era.
Contact PBT online or by phone at (508) 224-4888 for tickets or more information - shows on October 3rd and 4th.
Support local, live theatre at PBT - or wherever you live in the world.
(Note: I'll resume the ongoing posts about my Vermont trip tomorrow.)
