Lucca recently hosted a flower and plant show in the downtown Piazza Anfiteatro. It was extraordinarily popular and much of the time it was shoulder to shoulder people.
While the residents were buying fast, the tourists were mostly just looking since potted plants don't travel well in a suitcase.
