"Chicago," Priscilla Beach Theatre, Priscilla Beach, Plymouth, Massachusetts, USA

Priscilla Beach Theatre (PBT) has opened the second major adult cast production this summer on its newly restored Barn Stage with the TONY Award winning popular show, "Chicago."  The original run was scheduled for nine performances beginning on August 7th over three weekends but, it sold out so fast they added two more shows and those tickets are almost gone, too!

You can visit PBT's website at http://www.pbtheatre.org/ or call 508-224-4888 for tickets and more information.

The story is about about murder, greed, corruption and set amidst the razzle-dazzle decadence of the 1920s. "Chicago" is the story of Roxie Hart, a housewife and nightclub dancer who murders her on-the-side lover.

Produced by Bob and Sandy Malone, directed by Michael Hammond, musical director Christopher Ricci.

Before we get to the performance images, here are a few folks that make it all possible and pleasurable.

Priscilla Beach Theatre owner and guardian Bob Malone welcomes the audience to the final dress rehearsal.

The onstage live orchestra is ready for the show to begin.

PBT may be in a 140-year-old restored barn but, the stage lighting and sound equipment is state of the art 2015.  This view is inside the "tech booth" at the back of the theatre mezzanine from which the stage manager (seated at center with the script binder) calls the entire show via headset link to the other members of the production team. In the foreground is the lighting engineer and in the far distance the sound engineer, standing is the spotlight operator.

The following images are in order of appearance in the show and were made during the final dress rehearsal.

Support local live theatre in our community! It might be too late to get tickets to "Chicago," but there are still two more adult cast shows this summer and early fall: "The Odd Couple," and "Breaking Up is Hard to Do."
