Spring unfolds on this magnolia tree at Bartlett Pond. All three stages are visible: a bud - yet to bloom, a blossom - at peak starting to turn brown, and a green leaf - soon to replace all the fallen blossoms. To me, the magnolia is one of nature's great gifts of unsurpassed beauty. And yes, I am standing on the peak of the roof to get a better view of the top of the tree.
