Acorn street is in the Beacon Hill neighborhood and is reportedly one of the most photographed streets in Boston.
This view is with brilliant late afternoon light. I think I prefer it when overcast or in twilight and with a wet street and the gaslamps glowing - not that I'm complaining about sunshine on a perfect spring day in Boston. These brick row/townhouses are valued between $2-3 million in 2013 US dollars according to real estate website Zillow.
The beautiful window boxes demonstrate that folks here take these small sidewalk "gardens" very seriously.
Wrought iron railings herald a time gone by when this type of craftsmanship and artistry were more prevalent.

The uneven brick sidewalks are good reason to stroll down the street. And bright sunlight on a cool spring day is a perfect time for an outing.
A window box with spring reflections in the window. Some folks say that Boston is the "Charleston of the north," I prefer to think that Charleston is the "Boston of the south."
