Mt. Auburn Cemetery is located in Cambridge and Watertown, Massachusetts, and is the first "garden cemetery" in the United States founded in 1831. This view looks out over the cemetery in the foreground, the Harvard University campus in the mid-distance and the skyline of downtown Boston in the far-distance. These photos were taken on a perfect New England Autumn day on an outing with Amy's photo club.
Perched close to the people walking below was a juvenile red-tailed hawk who calls the cemetery his home having been born there in the Spring.
Hey I work at the Mt. Auburn Star and Have been to the cemetery numerous times. I am in semi-retirement and have begun traveling around New England. I too have numerous picture of Mt. Auburn. It is wonderful particularly in the fall when It's spectacular.
