"A Christmas Carol," Priscilla Beach Theatre, Priscilla Beach, Plymouth, Massachusetts, USA
"A Christmas Carol " opens July 24th on stage at the Priscilla Beach Theatre (PBT). It is the third of five Children's Workshops in the 2015 Summer Stock season. Here's the cast for the show at their first dress rehearsal.
It's Christmas in July! The classic yuletide story of Ebenezer Scrooge and his journey.
Produced by Bob and Sandy Malone, directed by Caitlin Donohue. Of note, Caitlin is concurrently appearing as a performer in PBT's production of "Fiddler on the Roof," and in rehearsal for PBT's production of "Chicago."

Mayflower II, Plymouth Harbor, Plymouth, Massachusetts, USA
Today is a perfect summer chamber-of-commerce-kind-of-day in downtown Plymouth at the harbor where the Mayflower II is docked.
The Mayflower II is a replica constructed in the mid-1950's of the original Mayflower that carried the Pilgrims from England to the "New World" in 1620. The replica was built in Devonshire, England by private donations from folks in both countries and sailed to the United States in 1957. It is a very popular tourist attraction here in Plymouth.
The original Mayflower journey in 1620 took 66 days with 102 passengers and crew of 25-30 in a vessel approximately 100 feet long by 25 feet wide. They arrived on November 11, remained living on board the ship until spring, and when the winter ended barely half the colony was still alive. Imagine all those people living in cold New England winter conditions in a space smaller than a tennis court.

Vegan Food, Manomet, Plymouth, Massachusetts, USA
Here's another post in my occasional series about "what do vegans eat?" The answer is: almost anything and everything that doesn't involve animals and animal products. And no, I didn't eat the flowers.
The particular salad contains: lettuce, spinach, tomatoes marinated with garlic and onions, roasted peppers, marinated artichokes, pine nuts, cashews, avocados, cheese-like shreds (made from plants rather than milk), olive oil, and balsamic vinegar.
And of course, no animals were harmed in the making of this meal!

"Chicago," Priscilla Beach Theatre, Priscilla Beach, Plymouth, Massachusetts, USA
Priscilla Beach Theatre (PBT) is now in rehearsal to bring the second major adult cast production this summer to its newly restored Barn Stage with the TONY Award winning popular show, "Chicago."

Random Critters, Manomet, Plymouth, Massachusetts, USA
Manomet isn't quite the wilderness but, we do have some varied critters living here. Like our occasional visiting great egret who returned again at dusk to roost in a nearby tree.
And hundreds of these crabs washed up with the tide but, 24 hours later, all remnants were gone - eaten, washed away, or buried by nature's forces. Nature has a very efficient processing system.
Early morning sunshine brought out nine turtles on this log to bask in the sun's warmth.
And on a different day, in the tree directly above the turtle log, this red-shouldered hawk makes a morning appearance looking for breakfast.
