Copa Riviera Maya 2013 Sailing Regatta, Puerto Aventuras, Quintana Roo, Yucatan Peninsula, Mexico

Stainless steel cable and nylon line - what could be more primary in the sailing world - except for sailcloth.

The Puerto Aventuras Sailing Club is hosting Mexico's first of four national championship  sailing regattas of 2013.  It included multiple classes of young sailors in categories of Optimist, Olympic Laser, Veleros 420, and Olympic level Windsurfing. These photos were taken in the staging area as some of the 200 young sailors were beginning their day.

I liked the determined and confident swagger of this young sailor strutting down the dock.

No matter what or where, at least one or two kids will ALWAYS hang over the edge and dangle a hand in the water - they just can't help it.

Guess which sponsor provided the tables, chairs, and maybe other stuff?
