"The New Motif," Spire Center for Performing Arts, Plymouth, Massachusetts, USA

Once again, the Spire Center for Performing Arts, provided an outstanding musical experience with "The New Motif," whose website says they are "an eclectic jam/funk band, infusing deep psychedelic grooves with improvisational techniques. The ambitiously crafted keyboard mastery, expressive saxophone and immaculate guitar shredding meld into a dynamic fusion. Their intricate funky bass and drums render addictive grooves binding band and crowd." In simple terms, they were HOT!

They provided almost three hours of uninterrupted music for the adoring fans who spent most of the evening on their feet, crowding the stage, rocking out.

On their feet and having fun.

The lead guitar/vocalist above does have wild hair but, not that wild. The round object center foreground is a high-powered fan aimed at him throughout the show.

It takes a lot of effort to rock out so intensely for so long!

I have been to many shows here at the Spire but, few have I observed the powerful connection/interaction between the audience and the performers as was evident on this evening. What an experience!

The Spire did it again demonstrating their talent for selecting exceptional acts.

Support the performing arts in our community by attending events at the Spire. You'll be glad you did. Their events calendar is at this link.
