A Beautiful Spring, Plymouth, Massachusetts, USA

As you may note from the sign, we are now at the 399th year anniversary of the Pilgrims landing in Plymouth. The whole town is abuzz in anticipation of the 400th anniversary next year. Roads, parks, sidewalks, buildings - everything has been on a years-long improvement schedule for "Plymouth 2020."  A fever pitch is building - even the replica Mayflower has been out of town being refurbished and readied for the celebration. I know that 400 years is not such a big deal around the world where cultures have been in place for thousands but, it's a big deal here.

A few of the stately homes in downtown Plymouth.

A Captain John boat has returned to its normal spot on the town wharf.

Boats all around the area, still wearing their winter coats, are moving closer to the water in anticipation of soon floating again.

And the gulls are squabbling over something - food, territory, makin' babies, whatever.

The higher sun angle makes for nice shadows below the entrance to Brewster Gardens.

A small section of a mural under a bridge overpass is alongside the trail through Brewster Gardens on the way to the Jenny Pond parking lot.

And just a few miles to the south, the ever-spectacular White Horse Beach basks in a day of spring cold, wind, and sunshine. It is good to be alive in and around "America's Hometown" - Plymouth, Massachusetts.
