Building the Set, Priscilla Beach Theatre (PBT), Priscilla Beach, Manomet, Plymouth, Massachusetts, USA
Winter is rapidly giving way to spring on the PBT campus. It's time for building the set for the first show, "Life Could Be A Dream," of the 2019 performance season!
After the concept idea and designing, it starts with a line of tape on the floor - this is where the set walls will stand.
Each wall section is constructed from 2x4 lumber - just like a regular house.
The small windows at the top of the wall are on purpose......
The setting is a basement apartment and the high windows are looking out onto street level at the feet and legs of passers-by.
Looking downstage, the audience area in the background is still dark and cold but, soon, the raucous laughter and smiles of a full house of happy patrons will fill the space - the season opener of "Life Could Be A Dream," is on May 3rd - barely a month away!
Here's the full season:

I have always claimed when asked, to have neither theatre nor acting experience but, apparently, I was wrong. Here I am 60 years ago in first grade ready for the spring festival. Who would have thought?
