Autumn, Tidmarsh Wildlife Sanctuary, Mass Audubon, Manomet, Plymouth, Massachusetts, USA

Autumn begins with just a splash of color here and there in the Tidmarsh Wildlife Sanctuary.

"A vast expanse of cold-water streams, ponds, forest, and woodlands, Tidmarsh is a 481-plus acre landscape permanently protected and open for all to enjoy. Once a working cranberry farm, this landscape underwent the largest freshwater ecological restoration ever completed in the Northeast." (Source: Mass Audubon).

Yellow goldenrod in the foreground and the first batch of maples start to turn red.

The restored Beaver Dam Brook meanders through the former bog-land.

The changes will start becoming increasingly obvious on a daily basis.
