Three Waterfalls on a Rainy Day, Ithaca, New York, USA

It was a cloudy, cool, rainy day so I decided to visit a few of the local waterfalls in or near downtown Ithaca. These first three images are of the falls at the base of Cascadilla Gorge in downtown Ithaca.

Unfortunately, this trail is closed just ahead at the gate.

Not many folks were out and about in the drizzle except these three men enjoying a smoke and conversation together.

Farther up the stream, a view into the Fall Creek gorge adjacent to the Cornell campus.

A mile or so east of downtown, the Businessman's Lunch Falls on Six Mile Creek thunders with a full load of water. A bit of vintage tint and vignette added in post-processing.

Again, the Businessman's Lunch falls and adjacent former power station.  Today, this creek and two upstream reservoirs are part of  Ithaca's water supply.
