One might think this young T-rex is trying to show off with the flowers-in-the-teeth routine but, I think he's just trying to distract me from his anxiety over his tiny hands. There seems to be some of that going around these days.
Dad swan is heading towards his nearby family as I approach. He is understandably edgy because........
.......he and mom swan only have four of the original seven cygnets still alive. (I am not very close to them, these two images were zoomed from a distance).
It was time for a new birdbath. We opted for a brightly colored Mexican theme this time. I'm not sure if other birds will be scared off by the four ceramic ones or not. Time will tell. In any case, it has a broad base so that neither squirrels nor cats nor other critters can tip it over - hopefully.
