Out and About, Boston, Massachusetts, USA

Springtime is here as this art installation by Brooklyn artist Daniele Frazier in Boston's Seaport District illustrates. These wind-sock-like daffodils inflate and dance around in the breeze.

On the Boston Common, this young artist regularly has folks lined up to have him draw their portrait - $1 each. People stand in line for quite a while waiting for their turn. He's quite engaging. He does pen and ink drawings on index sized cards. It's definitely "a thing."

Otherwise, a good day to stroll on the Common.

Or see the beginning signs of spring in the Public Garden.

The Boston Tea Party ship is welcoming tourists, some.........

......enjoy participating in a simulation of the Boston Tea Party protest of 1773 by throwing boxes of tea overboard into the water. (Not to worry - they are on ropes and are each retrieved from the water afterwards).

This look at downtown from the Seaport District has become an iconic view of this fine city of Boston.

I always enjoy the architecture that mixes new and old. Boston is a world class city - and I can visit without getting on an airplane!
