Out and About, Public Garden, Boston, Massachusetts, USA

My outdoor exercise on this day was in Boston at the Public Garden. I fully embraced social distancing and wore a face mask at all times. Most of the people I encountered were also of the same mind.  The Massachusetts State Public Health Advisory issued on 3/24/20 says, in part, "....You can still go outside to get fresh air, but make sure you practice social distancing and avoid touching surfaces frequently touched by others....."

I was careful to maintain compliance at all times and also wore a mask even though outside.

The Public Garden (founded in 1837), together with the adjacent Boston Common (built in 1634), comprise nature's centerpiece of downtown Boston.  The garden hosts a wonder of plant growth throughout the planting and growing seasons.

Normally, the dock in this image would be full of swan boats and hordes of people waiting to ride.

Tulips were today's main attraction.

There were a few folks out and about on this weekend morning. Mostly, dog-walkers, joggers, and regular walkers. It was particularly cold and windy for this time of year. I was wearing my normal winter regalia - big coat, hat, gloves, scarf.

This bridge is normally full of pedestrians and musicians and tourists.

Today, not so much.

The adjacent Commonwealth Avenue Mall was quiet.

Even the Boston Common had very few folks out and about.

10,000 steps later I headed home, refreshed, invigorated, and happy to be alive another day.
