Fireworks, White Horse Beach, Manomet, Plymouth, Massachusetts, USA

The long standing tradition of fireworks on White Horse Beach shaped up to be a great evening. It was warm and pleasant and the tide was outgoing. Above, the sun is setting just above Priscilla Beach in the distance.

A beach volleyball game continued as the darkness deepened.

The sky provided its own last firework.

Even before it got completely dark, fireworks started exploding in the sky.

Although fireworks are illegal in Massachusetts except by permit and approval, this tradition continues year after year on July 3rd at White Horse Beach and frankly, many other locations in Massachusetts.

Happy "Day-Before-Independence-Day!"
