Project Arts, Plymouth, Massachusetts, USA

For more than twenty years, the non-profit, Project Arts of Plymouth, has brought performers to Plymouth to provide free musical entertainment. From humble beginnings in the summer of 1996, today's scene includes ten waterfront performances in the beautiful Amphitheater at Pilgrim Memorial State Park adjacent to Plymouth Rock. Tonight's headliner: "Divas with a Twist," and opener: "Wut It Iz."

Mr. Tambourine Man, above, is a frequent patron of these events and dances along to the music.

"Dance as if no one is watching." These folks are also regulars at the shows on the Wednesday summer evenings in Plymouth and sometimes they are the only ones dancing - they lead the reluctant in getting up and moving to the beat. I am almost 65 years old, I still have hope that someday I will learn to dance as if no one is watching.....

Dancers have no age limits.

"The Divas with a Twist" put on a great show and had lots of folks on their feet dancing as you can see above looking out from the stage.

An LED light infused dress. Way cool!

As I started heading home, the "Yummy Pad Thai" proprietor was still cooking to order for customers from her food truck on site.

What a great event to enjoy live music on a beautiful New England summer evening, outdoors, under the stars, next to Plymouth Rock in "America's Hometown."

Project Arts, is led by Mike Landers, and an eight-person team of volunteers who do an incredible job year after year making this event happen. Come out and support this wonderful free event in America's Hometown.

Here's a link to some of my previous posts about Project Arts events.
