Poe in Winter, Boston, Massachusetts, USA

Since 2014, this striking statue of Mr. Edgar Allen Poe, has graced the corner of Boyslton and Charles Streets in downtown Boston. He is depicted striding purposefully along the sidewalk, with raven, briefcase, papers, and swirling cape. The world renown author was born in Boston in 1809. His spirit lives on in bronze.

Stefanie Rocknak is the artist/sculptor of the breathtaking piece of art. Ms. Rocknak holds a Ph.d. in Philosophy and is a Professor of Philosophy at Hartwick College in Oneonta, NY.

Across the street from Mr. Poe, the late afternoon winter light streaks along Boylston St.
