Tin Man, Bartlett Pond, White Horse Beach, Manomet, Plymouth, Massachusetts, USA
It had to happen. Old, rusted-out, bedraggled tin man who has guarded Amy's garden for years, has been replaced by a newer model.
It is the way of the world. The old generation has to make room for the new. Sigh.
Interesting…I was thinking of ‘tin man’ a few days ago...
Can’t remember how many times I was tempted to, (with permission) send…name address and money to have ‘tinman’ shipped to me in California.
Reason being it was seasoned to perfection and would have added the perfect rustic touch to my tiny ultra-modern shiny garden patio. Bye-bye ‘old tin man’…(although falling apart as your handler Joe stated earlier) I am sad that you are an inanimate object and cannot be venerated alongside the new like the Japanese do for their elders.
