Music on the Waterfront, Project Arts, Plymouth, Massachusetts, USA

Project Arts, Inc., of Plymouth sponsors weekly Wednesday concerts on the waterfront at the Amphitheater in the Plymouth Memorial State Park. Folks come from all over to enjoy the free music outside on a summer evening.

These folks live close enough to walk and load up their custom modified wagon to haul the chairs, blankets, coolers, snacks - and the grand kids.

There was a big crowd gathered tonight. (That's Plymouth Harbor visible in the background). It's interesting to me to observe crowd behavior.  The first folks to arrive establish the front line of seats. It is arbitrary - perhaps they don't want to be too close to the sound system? That's a good thing because the big space left open is used for kids and adults to romp and dance in front of the stage.

The lead off performer was Anne English and I think she was wondering, "what's this guy doing on my stage taking pictures."

Later, the headliner act, Cheap Voova, a cover band from Plymouth, got the crowd rockin'.

It wasn't just music. These folks from Fire It Up! Flatbread Company were offering made-to-order pizzas in their mobile oven.  She would spin 'em....... her co-worker would top'em......

.....he'd cook 'em in the wood-fired oven......

....and this guy would call out your name when it was ready.  Can't beat that!

And you can chase the pizza down with a cooling Hawaii shaved ice.....ah yes, music by the sea on a warm summer evening in America's Hometown. Hard to beat.
