Public Garden, Boston, Massachusetts, USA

The iconic ducks in honor of the classic children's book, "Make Way for Ducklings," are a popular feature of the Boston Public Garden. By the way, the names of the ducklings are Jack, Kack, Lack, Mack, Nack, Ouack, Pack and Quack, in case you need some more random information in your brain.

The lagoon is a popular spot for the swan boats to travel about with the ever-quiet pedal-powered flat bottom boats.

Each day though, the folks must shine up the brass and get ready for the onslaught of tourists. The swan boats have plied the lagoon since 1877.

Each freshly polished flagpole gets a small American flag affixed to it.

All ready to go.......

..... and so they pedal away loaded with riders.

Elsewhere, folks enjoy the spring day on a park bench.

It's also a good day for a group picture.

Even though bundled up, it's a great day to spread a blanket under the falling petals overhead.

The Public Garden is across the street from the Boston Common and was created in 1837. It is a beautiful green space in the center of Boston.
