First Floor Walls - Neighborhood Home Renovation Project, Manomet, Plymouth, Massachusetts, USA

The first floor walls begin with the two vertical elements at left which are structural steel firmly bolted to the concrete foundation

The steel provides added strength on the wind-exposed site.

Otherwise, it's mostly regular wood frame 2x6 construction common in the United States.

Pretty nice location for a job site.

Constructing the wall while it lays flat on the floor.

It is always impressive to see what these two men can do with their hands and minds - with the help of a power saw and nail-gun, too.
