View from the Bluff, Manomet, Plymouth, Massachusetts, USA

When I approach the bluff at the beginning of a walk, I never know what view will greet me. Looking out at Cape Cod Bay is always a variable and dramatic experience. Clouds, sun, rain, wind - all present in different quantities and with different attributes. This stormy, dark view is looking northward towards Manomet Point.

This view is looking southward towards Sandwich and the Cape Cod Canal.

In this panorama, the dark area at center is a passing storm over Provincetown, 20 miles distant on the tip of Cape Cod. Soon enough, clouds like these will bring us snow - always a mixed delight.
