Around Town, Lucca, Tuscany, Italy

Often, it is possible to have a quiet walk around the wall.

Sometimes though, the quiet is replaced by the happy voices of young people.

Ah, to be a teenager again.

Bikes are common in town as primary transportation or, on the wall for entertainment or exercise.

This one is all loaded up for the trip home from the flower market.

If this car looks really small, that's because it is - narrow medieval-era lanes establish definitive limits.

This statue of renowned composer Giacomo Puccini, born in Lucca in 1858, stands proudly in a piazza near a museum in his memory.........

........while down the street a quartet of cellos plays classical music to an appreciative crowd of passersby.

Even young "trouble" enjoys the music.
