On the Ground, Manomet, Plymouth, Massachusetts, USA

I enjoy the contrast of this white fence, white snow, and dark shadows.

This squirrel is enjoying the snow under the bird feeder peppered with dropped seeds.

Fresh snow tracks reveal the comings and goings of the wild critters who live here. And no, I don't know what made these tracks.

On the other hand, the human critters leave no tracks when they stay inside their houses instead of walking out and sitting in the warm sunshine on a bench.

The drifting snow is steadily creeping up the side of this Tuscany gold colored garage.

The cardinals are ground feeders and share the area with the squirrels beneath the feeders.
