The active farming season at the Holmes Farm on Manomet Point Road is winding down. The farm serves as both a public farm stand and a membership CSA (Community Supported Agriculture). This past summer they also held a series of six outdoor concerts featuring local and regional musicians.
The late afternoon light gives the farm a nice warm orangey glow. The property is owned by the Manomet Center for Conservation Sciences. (Panorama - click on image to view in full width).
Farmer Jen is getting the land ready for winter - and perhaps a nice white blanket of snow.
But for now, fall is still present.
