Gellar's Corner, Ford 1923 "T-Bucket," Manomet, Plymouth, Massachusetts, USA

Since the 1920's Gellar's has been a fixture in Manomet.  A family affair through the generations, it is a combination auto repair/snack bar/towing/uhaul rental business on the corner of State Road and White Horse Beach Road.  As I drive by I often see something of interest happening.  Whether it's kids getting ice cream cones on a hot summer day, retirees hanging out over coffee, bikers stopping in for a grilled cheese or clam roll, or unusual cars in the lot, Gellar's has that "step back in time" sort of feel to it. This 1923 Ford T-bucket recently caught my eye.

It is sort of an extensively modified 1923 Model-T Ford with modern touches - shiny chrome, polished brass, and a V-8 that will accelerate you into outer space.

The proud owner built it as a teenager!

The large foot shaped pedal is the accelerator - and if that's not fast enough, the blue bottle/tank on the floor will inject nitrous oxide for that little extra boost to press your eyeballs farther back into their sockets.
