The Town of Chatham enjoys a wonderful location at the elbow of the Cape Cod arm and is about as pretty an area as one can imagine. The Fish Pier hosts many working boats and is a popular spot for folks to watch the goings-on, particularly as the fisherfolk return around midday with the catch. There are a number of seals that like it too - expecting a handout from the boats as they sort and process the day's catch.
In the background, part of the fleet that either didn't go out today or, they have already returned.

The view of the harbor from the Fish Pier observation deck.
A view slightly toward the east from the Fish Pier observation deck. (There was a view to the south too - but the glare made for lousy photos.)
Here's one of the hungry seals - I never before realized how much the forehead area and eyes of a seal look like a dog while the large nostril nose area looks more like a cow - go figure.
