"Charlotte's Web," Priscilla Beach Theatre, Priscilla Beach, Plymouth, Massachusetts, USA

"Charlotte's Web," opens August 7th on stage at the Priscilla Beach Theatre (PBT). It is the fourth of five Children's Workshops in the 2015 Summer Stock season. There are four public performances. Here are the two casts for the show at an early rehearsal. Since there are two casts, there are also two directors: Caitlin Donohue and Matt Torrance, both of whom are also in rehearsals as performers in the classic show, "Chicago," which opens on the Barn Stage also on August 7th.

"Charlotte's Web" is the classic children's story of Wilbur the pig with major themes of friendship, teamwork, and commitment.

Produced by Bob and Sandy Malone, owners and guardians of PBT.

Plan to come to PBT and enjoy the show beginning on August 7th. You can visit PBT's website at http://www.pbtheatre.org/ or call 508-224-4888 for tickets and/or more information.

Here's one of the two casts with their "silly face" pose.  Come out to PBT and support our local youth in this performance. The newly restored Priscilla Beach Theatre and campus is a magical place and you'll be glad you came to visit.

"Chicago," Priscilla Beach Theatre, Priscilla Beach, Plymouth, Massachusetts, USA

Priscilla Beach Theatre (PBT) is now in rehearsal to bring the second major adult cast production this summer to its newly restored Barn Stage with the TONY Award winning popular show, "Chicago."

It's about murder, greed, corruption and set amidst the razzle-dazzle decadence of the 1920s. "Chicago" is the story of Roxie Hart, a housewife and nightclub dancer who murders her on-the-side lover.

The run is scheduled for nine performances beginning on August 7th over three weekends. You can visit PBT's website at http://www.pbtheatre.org/ or call 508-224-4888 for tickets and more information. The originally scheduled run of nine shows has SOLD OUT! They have added two more shows and those tickets will go quickly, too.

Produced by Bob and Sandy Malone, directed by Michael Hammond, musical director Christopher Ricci.

The following images, in order of occurrence in the production, were made at a recent rehearsal.

Some images are more suited to full color and.......

......some are more suited to black and white.

Color.........

.... black and white.

Or, black and white with zoom-burst distortion and only one boat?

Or, black and white with zoom-burst and a texture overlay?

The choices are endless with today's modern photo processing software.

Blueberry Season, Plymouth, Massachusetts, USA

It's that time of the summer when the blueberries are starting to ripen on the bushes.

So, off we went to pick some at Louise's cranberry bog. It's a slow process blueberry pickin' - it seems that for every few berries that go in the bucket, an equal number or greater go directly into my mouth!

I tried to enlist the aid of the owner's trusty dog, Wiley, to guard the bucket but,........

.... he didn't like the berries himself and, he did not seem inclined to keep my hand out of the bucket either. Oh well.

And there was a 1960's peace-loving-hippie type along for the berry-pickin', too. Where did you get that shirt?

Amy's Garden, Bartlett Pond, White Horse Beach, Manomet, Plymouth, Massachusetts, USA

On this late afternoon summer day, the water still as glass, Amy's Garden is once again, an explosion of beautiful colors.

Earlier in the day under bright sunlight.  And yes, tinman is looking a bit sad this year - too many seasons of rust. Sometimes, I feel like that, too.

Ah, summer in New England..............
